You are where you deserve to be Part 2
You are where you deserve to be Part 2

This is a continuation of part 1 entitled You are where you deserve to be Part 2.

So what do you do if you want to change but think you deserve what you have?

You are where you deserve to be Part 2

The simple answer to that is you cannot. The more complex answer to that is your problem lies within the question.

Let’s use an example question of: How do I lose this excess fat off my *?

And let’s break down this question into 2 parts, the first half of the question, then the second half of the question.

How do I lose this…? This question is the bases of the problem. No sane person wants to lose anything. If you think you do you’re kidding yourself. I don’t know of a person alive that wants to go from making $1,000,000 per year to making $22,650 per year. If you’re in this situation, you know this is a problem. The bases of the word “lose” is to own something, then no longer to own it. Most people equate loss with pain and suffering, while some people relish in the fact that they can endure tremendous amount of pain and suffering because that pain and suffering equates to pleasure in some way. The seeking out of pleasure and the avoidance of pain is what drives us humans.

Today, as members of the human race, we are in a transition of a pain / pleasure market correction. I am not talking about the economic crisis that is currently going on, as I do not write about news or current events. I want this article to be relevant today, tomorrow and in 100 years. Newton’s Third Law of Motion states that “for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” So for every pound you “lose” there is a tremendous pressure to “UN-lose” or regain it back. This is pressure far beyond what you or I am capable of overcoming.

I was born in Hawaii. In Hawaii, when the surfers go out into the Pacific Ocean they sometimes get caught in a current that takes them farther and farther out into the ocean. Now when visitors come to the island and get caught in one of these currents, the natural tendency is to fight the current  – fight it with all your might. Now I don’t care how good of a swimmer you think you are, you are not a strong enough swimmer to fight a Pacific Ocean current. I know this sound pretty bleak, but without accepting this, you are closer to the problem rather than the solution.

Excess

The second half of question is “…excess fat off my *.”? The second half of this question feeds the first half. Not only do you have fat – you have excess fat. To put this into context…my ex-wife and many women I know will tell you that a girl cannot have an excessive amount of shoes. As an entrepreneur and internet surfer, I can honestly tell you that my internet connection cannot have excessive speed. Deeply rooted in your psyche are the equations, excess = pleasure or excess = pain. You cannot have excess and have it mean both massive pleasure in some cases and massive pain in another case. You have already picked one. Which one is it?

If the question is how do I lose this excess fat around my *? One of two things is going on. You equate a massive amount of pain to being fat or you equate a massive amount of pleasure to having excess fat.

No fit healthy person, no matter where they are at, their economic conditions or their surroundings, equates pleasure to fat. To a fit person, excess fat is like Kryptonite to Superman; they will avoid, fight, kick, holler and scream at the mere thought of excess fat. If your question is how do I lose this excess fat around my *? Again somewhere in your psyche you actually get pleasure from having excess fat, and if it weren’t for your doctor, someone you love or like, peer pressure, societal image or a number of other things, you would be more than happy to stay and have excess fat the rest of your life. If this is you, you can stop reading right now, you are already living the dream, and there is nothing that I can do for you.

You are where you deserve to be Part 2

Breaking Point

If this sounds like you and you want to deserve better, here is what you do. As I wrote in my story on my about page, I finally got sick and tired of being sick in tired. I was either going to get in shape or die trying; there was literally nothing that would stop me from getting where I wanted to be. You won’t lose an ounce or gram of excess fat for good until you get to this point. Your question of How do I lose this excess fat around my *? Doesn’t hold water until you equate massive amounts of pain to being un-fit, out of shape and having excess fat.

The Final Question

The final question is how do you get to your breaking point? If this is your question then you are not there yet, better yet your not even close. Having “excess fat” has to disgust you. I’m not talking about just saying it to yourself over and over 1 million times per day – I’m talking about it has to almost make you almost physically ill (or whatever you equate to immense pain) to even think about having excess fat around your *. When you hit this point, you will know it. When this happens you will mentally no longer have “excess fat around you *.”  The day this happens your mind will change and your body will follow. To get to this point you have to change your self-image. No longer can you think fo yourself as “Big Al” or Susan who is always broke. Visualize yourself in your new body, think as if you already were. Then if you were what would you eat, how would you behave, who would you be. When you unlock that door, everything will open up to you. It wont be a struggle anymore it will be a part of who you are.

This method applies to other things as well, just insert the problem, and get sick enough of the situation and the output you will find is the solution.

This concludes my post on You are where you deserve to be Part 2.
